Music with Teeth

SKETCH | GRAPHIC

When a Seattle-based events planning team hits you up with a request for “Victorian poster art meets Y2K raver vibes.” for a future event flyer for their street team. My responses were Great! When do you want it? Do you have examples for me to get inspired from? When you say Y2K raver design, do you mean this?

After a few mood boards and more in-depth video conversations, we refined the scope of the vision. Keeping the Victorian letter poster feel, with a mix of art deco line work. After creating a custom font for the Boiler Kitchen, I decided to buy a font and dingbats for this project. The Reborn font was a good match for my font and wingding needs.

Because of the project’s prospect of this becoming an event series, we experimented with QR codes. It was creating a discreet, compact, reusable event flyer.
