The PBS KIDS website is for the children’s programming aired by the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) in the United States. The target audience is children between the ages of 2 and 8. The PBS KIDS home page gets an average of 13.6 million views per month, making the PBS KIDS homepage takeovers a driving promotional force. These takeovers have had a variety of different focuses. Sometimes it’s a new game, show, movie premiere, or just creating engagement with our audience.
Over the last 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of designing 80+ takeovers. However, I want to give a nod to Julie Maski the Lead Developer, who helps breathe life into these designs.
