MIXING
PBS KIDS Talking Gets Us there
SOUND | MIXING
Words are powerful. I was proud to enhance this production with subtle layers of foley sound and to master it for final delivery. This video would win a Daytime Emmy Awarded: Outstanding Educational & Informational Series, 2021
PBS KIDS Talk About
SOUND | MIXING
Real families, real conversations. PBS KIDS Talk About! is a web series distributed across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and the PBS KIDS Video app. For each episode, I received session audio recorded by a third party along with the music bed. My role was to mix the audio and enrich the animations with subtle foley.
PBS KIDS TV Bumpers 2023
SOUND | MIXING
These on-air spots were designed for flexibility, with edits ranging from 5 to 15 seconds. To support this, I created 10 boutique audio versions per video, each aligned to a click track at 178 BPM. I composed the music, built the sound design, and handled the final mix and mastering for broadcast delivery. The series was later nominated for a Children’s & Family Emmy for Promotional Announcement. To provide additional context, I produced behind-the-scenes videos highlighting the sound design process.
PBS KIDS NYE
SOUND | MIXING
The New Year’s Eve productions for 2021 and 2022 were both highlights of my work. In 2021, I composed the original soundtrack, inspired by classic disco and house records from the ’70s and ’90s. The production was a success, and in 2022 we raised the bar by evolving DJ Walrus into a fully developed character. This added complexity to the mix but provided a strong throughline that kept the audience engaged.
PBS KIDS GAME of THe Day
SOUND | MIXING
These animations were created for the PBS KIDS Games app as part of the “Game of the Day” experience. The goal was to spark joy and curiosity while guiding kids toward the featured game. Short and lightweight by design, they balanced creative impact with the technical limitations of file size.
PBS KIDS TV BUMPERS 2018
SOUND | MIXING
PBS KIDS expanded the video player to include live TV, giving families access to their local PBS station’s programming directly through the app. To support the launch, I designed both TV and digital bumpers that promoted the new feature across platforms.
